Dis is da bomb! Seeeeeeck! Should sell this beat mang :D

The intro really reminds me of the Dragonage menu theme.

Jessismith responds:

Thanks, BrokenDeck. :)

I liked the orchestral addition at :40 or so. Totally didn't expect that. But then again I shuold have, since you listed "Miroslav Philharmoni" in your desc.

For some reason I was watching a Aeon Flux clip on YT and this song really fit it.

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

Well, that's a good thing then... right?

This is pretty epic man. I don't know about adding orchestral to it. It's pretty rad as it is already! :D

XayberOptix responds:

Well in that case, I guess I should leave it the way it is then. :) Thanks for dropping in.

If I were the Phantom of an opera somewhere, I'd definitely play this!

samulis responds:

Man, I hadn't even thought of Phantom while writing this... xD

BFP, did you write these lyrics? RealFaction, I think you need some work on your higher vocals, but I think you're getting quite good on your growls. Did you watch the Melissa Cross DVD? :3 Anyways, 4.5/5.

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

I had no part in the lyrics or the vocals, RealFaction recorded over the raw original song, sent it to me, I did a little bit of post render EQing and such, then uploaded it.

I'll pass along the comments to RF, if he doesn't see this himself.

There were some words that I couldn't hear, mostly in the first paragraph, but that's from what I perceive as your lack or experience with vocaloid. Kudos on the lyrics though. Maybe sometime you should give a crack at adding lyrics to one of my melodies. Is this the first English release? I've heard some other songs on the portal that used Japanese versions to phonetically form English words and those were sometimes quite indecipherable.

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

Yeah, I'm still working on getting things a bit less muddled so it's easier to make out... In time.

As for English releases, no, this is very, very far from the first English release. The first Vocaloids ever made were English. Few people know this because the first mega popular Vocaloid was Miku Hatsune, which is obviously Japanese.

Also... This voicebank may be in English... but it was still voiced by the Japanese singer who did the original Gumi... So you'll notice a strong Japanese accent, which also makes it a little more difficult to work with.

Pretty chill and relaxing. THe fact that you made this drunk earns you props ! I would write more but I don't know much about reviewing electronic music :)

Daydream-Anatomy responds:

Thanks bro:3

I'm impressed. Other than some of the string samples being slightly
lacking (nothing that's your fault anyways), I found this song to be both
sad and uplifting at the same time. I can definitely see this song being the
soundtrack to the story you described.

BlazingDragon responds:

Thanks BD. I appreciate the input. :)

I love this song. A clear and definite theme / feel presented right off
from the beginning, and never really goes off on a tangent that distracts
from it. I'm glad that you utilized your vocals in this song, I like your
subtle and chill-sounding singing technique. Only thing is that perhaps
you could have made them slightly louder and/or more present in the mix,
as they are almost drowned out by the backing instruments. Your guitar
solos tend to go on for almost longer than needed, but you manage to
keep them from going completely off track.

Kor-Rune responds:

Thank you for the review! You helped me see the light in having motifs. C:

Yep, the volume of them has been bugging me. Some takes are off key/lame and I need to redo them, so I hid them under volume/EQ in light of the deadline. Probably not a good move, but I hardly cared, I thought BlazingDragon had me beat.

Anyway thanks again!
ily brokendeck you kept me on track <3
