Good animation but...

The idea is old. Everyone has seen this. It's called Terminator 2 Judgement Day. It looks like you got most of your nuclear impact ideas from that movie. Wonderful and extremely talented animation skills you have, however, so for that I give you 8/10. Bravo. I hope to see episode 2 very soon. Cheers

The Orginal was better.

The new music you chose doesn't strike an emotional chord like the first version did. The fact there was no voices in the original punctuated the music's meotional qualities as well. Newer isn't neccesarily better. I would love to see one more version of this with better animation, but with the original music restored, and better voice acting (or no voices at all). All in all it's still a good story.

Has potential.

You need to work on your storyline. The horse quits his job because old ladies annoy him... He tries other jobs and fials, or hates it, and goes back to the same job he started with. There were many possible instances where the comedy could have been better contrived, such as the job hunting scene. In addition, the audio was was popping and hot on several occasions, and the mix was unbalanced. The dialogue should never have to compete with the playback (music) for attention. I found it slightly difficult to pick up what the horse was saying at times.

Dave-Flinch-Price responds:

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. My accent is quite bad anyway what with me being the horse and all.

Thanks again.

Good attempt, but...

Trying to show how it is to live in London, this doesn't really cut it for me. It looks like you're trying to recreate the repetiveness of urban sprawl, but this particular subject doesn't work with pencil sketches. I applaud your effort, but this is not your best work. You CAN do better. I was bored during most of this, waiting to see if you made any comment or satement, which you didn't make clear. Now I know there are some who will see what you are trying to doi, such as myself, but most people WILL get bored with this and BLAM it. Sorry for the bad news... :|

I love Cab Calloway! lol

Dad must be on crack! JK. But seriously, this was well done. Maybe you should make a game based on this! lol I would love to see that. Let's see how random and senselessly violent Dad can get, without it being atrocious violence. The violence demonstrated here was funny, because no one gets hurt. I loved the sword part. And the eye lasers! lol ANs then BOOM, he's sorrounded and turns it into a Rock concert! lol. I loved the dancing fuzz lol. Music was good. Song selection and SFX were appropriate.

It's like... reading rainbow...

This remind's me of Levar Burton's reading rainbow on PBS a long time ago. The animation style was good. The choppiness and imperfections actually fit the style you chose, rough penciled sketches. Your biggest problem, is the audio. First, the music DOES NOT FIT. Personally, I think that something similair to Danny Elfman's style would have been better. Your voice acting, while good for storybook telling, could have been MUCH better. I see this as a common problem in Newgrounds; the voice acting sounds like people are READING FROM A SCRIPT, unless that was your intended style. You also popped the mic lots, another audio pet peeve of mine. Even though I only gave you a 7 (mostly for technical flaws), I think this is one of the stylistic stand-outs in the portal. GOOD JOB & WELL DONE! I hope to see more from you.

Matt-Merrill responds:

Yeah... sound coulda been better. Part of the problem was just that it gets a little screwed up when you stream it in flash.

lol, and the narrator was pretty much just reading off the script :-P

Is this finished?

Funny thing is, the same thing happened to me. Extras didn't do anything. Or maybe i'm just computer illiterate? I usually don't rate stick movies very well, and in your case, it wasn't any different. I'm sorry to say, but you need a better plot. This is just another shoot 'em up for me. Nothing really "artistic" about it. An btw, do some more research. The guns were the wrong era, the helmets got switched between Axis and Allies... etc...

Interesting smapling indeed

A lot of the gunfire, the way you mixed it, made it sound like actual drums. Maybe it's a phenomenon of some sort. :S Good beat, although in some places it repeated the same beats for too many bars. It should have been shorter, but I actually got a little bit bored around the middle, waiting for the beat to change.

StealthBeast responds:

Agreed. Oh well, live and learn. Hope you liked it nonetheless!

Lovely work

This is seriously good. If you don't work for an animation studio, it's their loss. You'll go places. I love the brackenwood series, but this i shte first one I have reviewed and I don't really have much to say other than that's I'm virtually blown away.

SHINAE! lol jk

Great flash dude. Nice job on the sound editing. The samples sounded hot in some places, but overall you did MUCH better than most flashes out there. The animation is seamless and looks like it could be television quality. Although it does look like you're heavily influenced by Dragonball Z. I gave it 6 because it's not a style that's unique to yourself. Otherwise, GREAT JOB!
